The design of St Paul of the Shipwreck Church<\/strong> is attributed to the architect Girolamo Cassar<\/strong>with later interventions defining its current appearance. Built between 1570 and 1639<\/strong>, it is one of Valletta's oldest and most venerated churches. This temple serves as the spiritual heart of devotion to the island's patron saint, commemorating the shipwreck of the Apostle Paul in 60 AD.
