The design of Parish Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary (Mellie\u0127a)<\/strong> is a notable Baroque<\/strong>constructed primarily between 1883 and 1897<\/strong>. Situated at the highest point of Mellie\u0127a<\/strong>, this imposing structure dominates the landscape of northern Malta. Unlike older temples, its construction was a monumental community effort, with locals transporting limestone from nearby quarries to erect a symbol of faith that remains visible even from the islands of Gozo and Comino.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Church of the Nativity represents the growth and identity of Mellie\u0127a as one of the most important towns in the Northern District.
